Benita Nathania is Project Lead for Forest and Landscape Monitoring at WRI Indonesia. She is responsible for leading the implementation of Forest and Landscape monitoring initiative aimed to improve the capability & use cases of publicly accessible forest monitoring tool. She also provides expert advice and technical support for palm oil plantation license database improvement, Global Forest Watch (GFW) and GFW Pro uptake in Indonesia, and comparative research of jurisdictional sustainability index.

Prior to joining WRI Indonesia, she joined Yayasan Penelitian Inovasi Bumi as a researcher and began to learn a lot about the environment and sustainability. Then she worked as a consultant at CIFOR (Center for International Forestry Research) as a GIS and Qualitative Analyst in forest and migration project.

Benita received her Master of Engineering from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at both Yamaguchi University Japan and Master of Science from Udayana University Indonesia, she is an awardee of Yamaguchi/Udayana Double Degree Program. She received his Bachelor of Agriculture from the Agroecotechnology Department at Udayana University Indonesia.

Growing up in Bali, he always enjoyed the beach and sunset. She also likes to travel and spend quality time with her closest ones.
