Background

Plastic pollution is a global crisis that fundamentally affects the economy, ecosystem, and human health. With over 265 million population and the largest economy in ASEAN, Indonesia plays a key role in the fight against plastic pollution at the global and regional levels.

As a country with rapid economic growth, urbanization level, and industrialization, developing a circular economy and inclusive plastic waste management is crucial to securing the nation's future.

About Us

Indonesia National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) is a multistakeholder platform that gathers government, academia, researchers, experts, industry, financial institutions, the private sector, and civil organizations in the efforts to resolve plastic pollution.

Through collaboration, Indonesia NPAP serves as a catalyst to accelerate the development of waste management solutions that are based on circularity, maintaining the balance between economic growth and environmental preservation.
