Celebrating 10 Years of Turning Big Ideas into Action
“This year, WRI Indonesia turns 10 years old. This is a relatively young age, compared to the scope and networks of other civil society organizations that have been present in Indonesia for much longer. However, our youth does not hinder us from building a reputation and network in environmental and development work, both nationally and globally.
Over the past decade, this spirit has driven us to continue building momentum and seizing opportunities to be a driver of systemic change, with the support of global networks and local expertise, to offer data-driven and applicable solutions for stakeholders. We hope to continue collaborating to achieve the sustainable development goals together.”

WRI Indonesia
Founded as a foundation entity in 2014, WRI Indonesia stands as an independent research institution focused on supporting sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development. We collaborate with the government, business, civil society organizations, and local communities to meet essential human needs, protect and conserve nature, and achieve climate-resilient societies. Currently, we have offices in 7 provinces in Indonesia, ranging from Aceh to Papua, and closely connected with the global network of the World Resources Institute.
We have been established as an independent foundation entity in Indonesia for the past 10 years. We have been working alongside government partners, private sector, civil society organizations, and local communities. These collaborations have been a major asset in supporting Indonesia’s efforts toward sustainable development.
