Dimas Nu'man Fadhil
Urban Development Senior Program Lead
Dimas serves as an Urban Development Senior Program Lead for WRI Indonesia.
He spearheads the implementation of UKPACT Future City Project to improve low carbon and inclusive mobility in Surabaya and Makassar, as well as to develop carbon pricing scope and prerequisite in transportation subsector together with Ministry of Transport.
He graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a major in Transportation Systems. With over 8 years of combined experience in the Transportation & real estate sector, he possesses a broad perspective encompassing public policy, the private sector, and academia, particularly in the context of interplay between transportation and housing and land use. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics.
Prior to joining WRI Indonesia, he played a pivotal role in assisting Governor Baswedan in overseeing and implementing sustainable mobility policies in Jakarta such as Jaklingko (integration of public transport modes), Paratransit formalization, Low Emission Zone, Bus Fleet Electrification, and cycling infrastructure, which received the Sustainable Transport Award in 2021. Previously during his graduate study tenure, he involved in various avant-garde research projects at campus and Bauhaus Luftfahrt (an aviation think tank) spanning from Urban/Regional Air Mobility to On-demand autonomous bus.
In his free time, he likes to play with his children, ride his bike, and brew black coffee.
