Egi is a Senior Manager for Climate at WRI Indonesia, where he leads the Climate-Economic-Finance (CEF) program and oversees the broader climate portfolio. In this role, he works at the intersection of climate and development, engaging with government institutions, private sector actors, and civil society organizations to advance Indonesia’s climate ambition while ensuring its alignment with national economic growth and development priorities. His portfolio is pivotal in shaping policy recommendations and programmatic initiatives that connect climate action with fiscal and economic policy, including just transition, sustainable finance, and green economy pathways. In addition to his climate work, Egi is also leading WRI Indonesia’s critical minerals portfolio, recognizing the sector’s strategic importance for Indonesia’s development and its global role in the clean energy transition. Before joining WRI Indonesia, Egi gained experience in climate governance and development cooperation at the Ministry of National Development Planning. He served as Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Manager at the Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund (ICCTF) where he managed multi-stakeholder programs to support Indonesia’s low-carbon and climate-resilient development agenda.
