Farah Zarana
Project Operation Coordinator for Aceh
A seasoned Project Operations Coordinator with over 15 years of experience in grant management, financial compliance, and operational leadership within international development projects across Indonesia. Currently serving as a Consultant with the World Resources Institute (WRI) for Aceh Province, I support regional leadership in overseeing project implementation and operational efficiency. My responsibilities span activity coordination, stakeholder engagement, due diligence, and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards.
Previously, I held key positions with USAID-funded programs (MSI-HARMONI, KOMPAK, LESTARI, IFACS, KINERJA, and DBE2) and DFAT initiatives, specializing in grants administration, financial reporting, procurement oversight, and capacity building for partners and civil society organizations. I have managed multi-regional project operations and supervised grant and finance teams, ensuring compliance with USAID, DFAT, and NGO-specific regulations. My work has consistently emphasized transparency, accountability, and risk mitigation through rigorous monitoring, site visits, and audits.
With a deep understanding of operational systems, budgeting, and program closeout procedures, I excel in coordinating between finance, program, and administrative units. I have successfully built and maintained collaborative relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities across Aceh, Java, Sulawesi, NTB, and Papua. My experience is reinforced by a commitment to compliance, security protocols, and capacity development, ensuring project success from planning to delivery.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English, I bring strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills that align with donor expectations and local realities.
