Reza Rahmaditio
Critical Minerals Lead
Reza leads the critical minerals portfolio at WRI Indonesia, focusing on the adoption of responsible mining and processing practices. In this role, he drives cross-sector collaboration to strengthen regulatory frameworks and enhance industry compliance through policy research and capacity building.
Key initiatives under this portfolio include the development of the National Nickel Industry Decarbonization Roadmap, a study on green investment and trade between Indonesia and China, and a regulatory framework assessment for ESG in the nickel sector.
Prior to joining WRI, Reza worked as a consultant with various international organizations and government institutions, including GIZ, the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), and the Low Carbon Development Indonesia (LCDI) initiative. His work primarily focused on quantitative modeling to support the formulation of national and regional decarbonization strategies.
His interest in sustainability and public policy began during his undergraduate studies in Environmental Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), where he focused his research on quantitative modeling to inform evidence-based policymaking for watershed management.
