Rizkiana Sidqiyatul Hamdani serves as the Lead for Research and Data Integrity at WRI Indonesia. Working closely with the Research, Data, and Innovation Manager, Sidqi ensures the application of high academic standards across all research activities, with a strong emphasis on impact and alignment with the organization’s mission. She also responsible for developing initiatives to strengthen research culture through mentoring, training design, and facilitating an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative research environment across programs and regional offices.

Sidqi has research experience in various coastal urban development issues, including spatial planning policy evaluation, mainstreaming participatory planning, governance of slow-onset disasters in coastal areas, and integrating socio-psychological dimensions into adaptation strategies. With an academic background in Urban and Regional Planning from Universitas Gadjah Mada, she often employs mixed-method approaches to unpack complex socio-environmental challenges in urban settings. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctoral program in Environmental Science at Universitas Diponegoro to deepen her scientific foundation in the field.

Before joining WRI Indonesia, Sidqi worked as an Urban Campaign Researcher at Greenpeace Indonesia and as a Policy Researcher for Planning and Development at Mercy Corps Indonesia. She actively shares her research insights through social media and academic publications and has been invited to serve as a peer reviewer for international journals. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of researchers is reflected in her roles as a coach and mentor in various capacity-building initiatives.
Outside of research, Sidqi finds joy in music and singing. She believes that melodies carry warmth and meaning, offering a comforting rhythm to navigate everyday life.
