Tomi Haryadi serves as Director for the Food, Land, and Water (FLW) Programme at WRI Indonesia. Working with a large team within WRI Indonesia, he leads in the planning, leveraging, implementing, and evaluating the FLW project and program portfolio. As part of his commitment, he aims to continuously enlarge WRI Indonesia's expertise.

He has technical expertise in climate change, agriculture, forestry, land use, air pollution, water, and food security, as well as practical skills in project/program management (Prince2 Foundation certified), partnership, program quality, capacity development, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), knowledge management, international relations, and communications.

He brings to WRI Indonesia his 20 years of experience as a project/program manager of large-scale environment and development projects/programs in Asia, including Indonesia. Before returning to Indonesia and joining WRI Indonesia, Tomi spent 12 years working with various international development organizations in Bangkok, Thailand. Right before joining WRI Indonesia, Tomi served more than five years as international staff for United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Asia and the Pacific, as Head of the Secretariat of the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET), an intergovernmental initiative participated by 13 Asian countries. Prior to joining the UN, he worked as a Project Manager for RECOFTC – Center for People and Forests, based in Bangkok, Thailand, handling massive Asia regional projects on social forestry. He also spent two years as Project Manager to head the Center of Excellence on Sustainable Development in the Context of Climate Change (SDCC) of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

Tomi holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Indonesia, specializing in microbiology. He also holds a master's in Environmental Planning and Management from IHE Delft, Institute for Water Education, the Netherlands, with a Stuned Scholarship. Tomi was awarded a Fulbright Hubert Humphrey Fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he had the opportunity to meet President Barack Obama at the White House. Additionally, he holds a postgraduate diploma in business administration from AIT.
