Carmel Gigi Moersalim is a Senior Communications Specialist at World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia, where she leads strategic communications for the Energy and Sustainable Business portfolio. In this role, she develops compelling narratives that inform and influence key stakeholders, strengthen WRI’s positioning, and support fundraising efforts. She works closely with program leads to translate complex topics, such as energy transition and industrial decarbonization, into clear, impactful messages tailored for diverse audiences.

Prior to joining WRI Indonesia, Carmel built a strong foundation in media and storytelling as a broadcast journalist, covering international affairs. She has also held freelance roles in content creation and copywriting.

Carmel holds a BBA with a minor in Doing Business in China from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and has earned certifications from Thomson Reuters and Sarah Lawrence College, New York. She is fluent in English and Indonesian, with HSK 4 proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
