Satya Budi Utama is the Project Manager for Clean Air Catalyst. Prior to that, he was the Senior Project Lead for the Sustainable Use of Peatland and Haze Mitigation in ASEAN (SUPA) project under the auspices of the European Union Delegation for Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN. In this project he provided programmatic leadership to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate project activities together with partners and stakeholders as well as communities on sustainable management of peatlands in the eight Southeast Asian countries.

Satya had accumulated considerable experience in program management, particularly around the topic of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation; starting with his role as Disaster Management Program Manager with the French Red Cross Delegation in Indonesia from 2007 to 2012. With the end of the task of the French Red Cross delegation in Indonesia he continued his portfolio of disaster risk reduction with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as Program Coordinator for the Disaster Management Emergency Operation Center (EOC Project) for 3 years.

Satya expanded his management role on renewable energy by joining Yayasan Rumah Energy as Deputy Program Manager for the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Program program in promoting the use of household biogas in 7 provinces in Indonesia. His last position before joining WRI was Program Unit Senior Manager with CARE International Indonesia who was responsible for managing the organization's portfolios on women's empowerment, community resilience development and climate change adaptation.

On his spare time Satya enjoys good readings and movies and outdoor activities with his family.
